Initial ADR course is 3.5 days.
About the course
ADR Training Courses are designed to ensure that all drivers working in the transportation industry have the knowledge, skills and expertise they need to ship dangerous goods safely and efficiently, from A to B.
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
Once you qualify as an ADR driver, you'll be able to transport certain classes of dangerous goods by road. This is a highly sort after driver qualification for companies.
How will I be assessed?
You will need to sit and pass 6 exams to gain a full ADR certification, excluding classes 1 and 7. Most attendees opt for the 3.5-day packaged goods course, which covers the Core, Packages, Common Characteristics, and Group A and B exams.
There are extra courses you can take with ADR for example:
-
A Tankers course, this is added on to the main course and finishes on the Friday. So the course will then be 5 days in total.
-
A Explosives Course, this is a separate 1 day course to cover all areas of carrying explosives on road. (Class 1)
-
A Radioactives course, again this is a separate 1 day course to cover all areas of carrying Radioactives on road. (Class 7)
