35hrs are needed to complete the full course. We do day courses of 7hrs and week courses of 35hrs. We also do Saturdays.
About the course
There are multiple lessons we cover including:

Drivers hrs, Tachographs & record keeping.

This covers the main areas of hgv driving for vocational needs. For example: how long you are legally allowed to drive for & when you must take breaks. How to do manual entries on your tacho and how long you must keep your records for.

Fire fighting & drink driving

During this training you will physically put out a small, controlled fire. You will learn about the hazards and dangers of drink driving and the time it takes to go through your system.

Hazard Awareness

This covers the basic awareness training of dangerous goods that is carried by road. This is also a required qualification to transport dangerous goods under the threshold limits and any limited quantities.

Vulnerable Road Users & Hand held Devices

This course covers the hierarchy of the road users according to the highway code within the uk.. Hand held devices are the cause of a lot of accidents as to date. You will learn how many seconds it takes to miss a danger on the road while using a mobile device.

Load Restraints & Maintenance

On this course you will learn how to distribute and secure loads on a vehicle. Also you will learn how to do all your daily checks on your vehicle before entering any public roads.

What will I be able to do after completing the course?
Through completing this course, you will be able to drive vocationally and attain a wage.
How will I be assessed?
Throughout the training there will be group discussions and questions & answers. There is no exams for this training, We only ask for student participation.
Entry requirements?
You must have a vocational driving licence to attend this course or have passed a Module 4 & be 18 years of age.
