About the course
The Lift Truck Instructor training course provides candidates with the skills to prepare and examine operators for working with lift trucks in accordance within the ABA guidelines. The course provides candidates with the opportunity to gain the knowledge & skills required to deliver training to Novice & experienced forklift operators for them to achieve the required safety standards.
Extensive coverage includes roles of the instructor, learning methods, principles of instruction, lesson types and plans, classroom and training aids, along with assessments and reporting, skills testing and ongoing assessment. Each student must have had an operators certificate issued within 6 months of the course starting.
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
On completion, You are able to instruct and examine operators on company premises. Also, it could be an opportunity for you as an individual to embark upon a rewarding career as a recognised ITSSAR instructor.
How will I be assessed?
Delegates are continuously assessed during their training and each course is externally monitored at random by a qualified Training Advisor from ITSSAR.
Entry requirements?
Proof of successfully completing the Counterbalance Basic Operating Skills Test within the last 6 months.
Have experience as a counterbalance operator.
Have good communication skills
Have the confidence to present to a small group of their peers.
Price
Novice (5-days) (never used a forklift before) - £400 per person
Experienced (3-days) (used a forklift but not had a qualification or qualification has expired) - £275 per person
Refresher (1-day) (has an in-date qualification but need to renew it before it runs out) - £150 per person
Conversion (1-day) (has an in-date qualification and wants to convert to another forklift) - £150 per person
External day rates available on request.
MEWP courses (1-day) - £215 per person
